This Privacy Policy describes how Craig Johnston, REALTOR® (licence V99960) of The Macnabs · Royal LePage Elite West (referred to as "Craig," "I," or "we") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit www.soldbycraig.ca or contact me through it.

What information I collect

I only collect personal information that you actively provide. That includes:

• Contact details you send me — your name, email, phone number, and any context you include in an enquiry, home-evaluation request, or strategy-call booking.
• Standard server logs — when you visit the site, the web host (Kinsta) automatically records your IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamp. These logs are retained for security and performance diagnostics only.

This site does not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party tracking script. There are no advertising cookies. The only cookies present are those strictly necessary for the site to function.

How I use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and provide the real estate information or service you asked for.
• To follow up appropriately about your buying, selling, or home-valuation conversation.
• To meet record-keeping obligations under the Real Estate Services Act and BCFSA rules when a client relationship begins.

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. I do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Who sees your information

Emails you send me are received at Craig@theMACNABS.com, which is operated on standard business email infrastructure. When a formal client relationship is established (e.g., you sign a buyer's or listing agreement), your information may also be handled by Royal LePage Elite West staff and regulatory bodies (BCFSA, the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver) strictly as required by BC law.

How long your information is kept

Casual enquiries are kept only as long as needed to respond and follow up reasonably. Information tied to a signed client agreement is retained for the minimum period required by BCFSA and BC tax/records law (generally 7 years), then securely destroyed.

Your rights under PIPA

• Access — you can request a copy of the personal information I hold about you.
• Correction — you can ask me to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Withdrawal of consent — you can ask me to stop using your information at any time, subject to legal or contractual constraints.

Security

I take reasonable steps to protect your information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access. That includes using reputable, Canadian-compliant infrastructure for the website and email, and limiting access to your data to only those who need it to serve you.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be noted at the top of the page.
